Senior Environmental Scientist - Approvals We are in search of a dedicated Senior Environmental Scientist to join a highly supportive and successful, employee-owned environmental consultancy in Perth. This is a reputable and respected specialist, focused on providing consulting services to their clients throughout Western Australia and globally. About the opportunity As an integral part of this team, you will have the opportunity to work on various challenging projects across mining, oil & gas and infrastructure. You will be responsible for undertaking baseline studies, conducting environmental impact assessment, obtaining environmental approvals and providing environmental management advice. Develop, implement, and share technical expertise with the wider team. Engage with technical personnel, managers and regulators. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver project requirements. Develop professional network (professional bodies and clients) and identify potential future opportunities. About you The ideal candidate is a self-driven and detail-oriented professional with a passion for the industry. We are seeking a collaborator, with excellent communication skills and attention to detail, who can work effectively with a diverse group of professionals. Essential requirements: A bachelor’s degree in environmental science or related field. A minimum of 7 years relevant work experience. Knowledge of State and Commonwealth planning and environmental legislation. Experience delivering Part IV & Part V Approvals (under WA EPA Act) and EPBC approvals. Experience with GIS software. Previous experience in the mining/resources industry will be highly regarded (either through consulting work or direct).
