Job Summary: As a Senior Engineer - Data Platforms, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality, fit-for-purpose data solutions that empower data-driven decision-making across the organisation. You’ll collaborate closely with product teams, analysts, data scientists, and engineers to design, build, and maintain scalable modern data solutions — while mentoring others and shaping best practices in data engineering. This is a great opportunity for someone who’s passionate about data, thrives in a collaborative environment, and enjoys working with modern technologies like Databricks, dbt, Fivetran, GCP, and Power BI. Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade data pipelines and solutions using modern data stacks. Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions. Develop APIs and integrations ensuring performance, stability, and security. Lead development of Power BI semantic models with strong governance and scalability. Ensure data quality, completeness, and compliance with governance standards. Collaborate with architects, product owners, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless delivery. Maintain comprehensive documentation and contribute to design and training materials. Mentor and guide data engineers (local and offshore), fostering a culture of innovation and excellence. Requirements: Degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3 years’ experience in a senior data engineering role. Strong hands-on experience with: Python , Databricks , dbt , Fivetran , and GCP (mandatory) Source control and CI/CD pipelines Automated testing, debugging, and performance optimisation Proven ability to design and implement logical and physical data models. Deep understanding of data quality, governance, and security best practices. Experience working in Agile environments and modern DevOps practices.
