With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hourâs drive from the CBD (still within the bounds of Myki and ride-sharing), Melbourneâs North is fast becoming the place to be.    Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Orthopaedic surgeon to join the surgical department.  About Northern Health: Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourneâs rapidly growing outer north.  Services are provided through our five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.  The Role: An exciting opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Orthopaedic Surgeon to join the team at Northern Health.  Orthopaedic Surgeon will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary team members including allied health clinicians, nursing and medical staff to deliver high quality Orthopaedic services as well as driving related research and innovation. The role is based at various Northern Health campuses, staff may be required to travel and work across the various Northern Health campuses, programs, and partner organisations.  To be successful in this role you will have: Medical registration with the Medical Board of Australia under the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Undergraduate medical qualification as a first degree is essential â MBBS, MD, PhD or equivalent Appropriate specialty qualifications such as Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (RACS ) or equivalent is essential Eligible for registration for Medicare provider number Current National Police and Working with Children History Check  Next Steps. . . .
