About the opportunity: Join a growing & dynamic business in the role of Senior Accountant within the Group Finance team. This role is the perfect entry point into the business with stakeholders across the whole organisation. We are seeking an enthusiastic and driven team member who can bring strong technical knowledge to the team and take ownership for the preparing monthly group results and statutory financial reporting for the listed group, including delivery of statutory financial statements and monitoring compliance across the Group’s Responsible Entities. This position is responsible for preparing monthly management reports, variance analysis, monthly balance sheet reconciliations, maintaining group ledgers, invoicing and receipting. This role will play a key part in delivering year end financial statements, tax statements and ensuring a smooth audit process. There will also be a strong focus on process improvement and driving positive change. As a key liaison between all areas of the business and the Group team, to be successful in this role you will need to have a passion for property, be enthusiastic, willing to learn and have good communication and relationship building skills. What you’ll be doing: Right from the start, you'll do great work with us. In this role, you’ll: Monthly Reporting : Prepare and present monthly financial results across business units. Balance Sheet & Cashflow : Reconcile balance sheets and manage short-term cash positions. Related Party Transactions : Identify, invoice, and collect related party transactions promptly. Fee Management : Align group fee collection and accruals with budget expectations. Timetable Management : Coordinate month-end and year-end reporting schedules. Annual Reporting & Audit : Prepare financial statements and support auditor queries. Tax & Compliance : Manage tax returns, debt covenants, solvency statements, and AFSL obligations. Ad-hoc & Process Improvement : Handle stakeholder queries, support projects, and drive finance process enhancements. Your point of difference – What you’ll bring to the team: Professional Qualifications : CA (or equivalent) with at least three years of chartered experience. Technical Expertise : Strong accounting knowledge (AASB/IFRS), financial reporting, and advanced Excel skills. Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication with high attention to detail. Analytical Ability : Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Team Collaboration : A supportive team player with a focus on shared deliverables. Stakeholder Engagement : Builds positive relationships and communicates effectively with stakeholders. Ownership & Initiative : Takes responsibility for deliverables and drives process improvements. Adaptability & Planning : Flexible with systems/reporting and demonstrates strong time management.
