Description Overview As a Business Analyst, you will collaborate with Project Managers, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to ensure business and technical requirements are clearly defined, agreed, and delivered throughout the project lifecycle.You’ll facilitate workshops, gather feedback, and secure stakeholder sign-off, while supporting broader project activities such as report preparation, resource coordination, and decision-making. Your role promotes teamwork, collaboration, and skill development across Portfolio and Squad teams. You bring strong experience in producing high-quality Business Requirements, Functional Specifications, and screen flows, with a sound understanding of project lifecycle standards and delivery methodologies. You leverage tools, people, and processes effectively to achieve outcomes within scope, budget, and timelines.Collaborative and adaptable, you build strong relationships, work confidently with ambiguity, and continuously seek opportunities to improve operations and support wider team success. 12 month fixed term position Parramatta location Hybrid working conditions Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities Strategic Focus • Define business problems through detailed investigation and analysis. • Document clear business and technical requirements to ensure delivered solutions meet objectives. • Maintain traceability between functional, technical, development, and testing requirements. Operational Management • Engage stakeholders and lead workshops to define and prioritise requirements. • Gather, analyse, and document business and technical needs and use cases. • Model processes, identify improvements, and assess system impacts for development. • Use data insights and customer experience to shape effective solutions. • Collaborate across teams to solve complex challenges and enhance methodologies. • Create dashboards, reports, and maintain a requirements knowledge base. • Identify efficiencies across projects and recommend process improvements. • Support testing, ensure traceability, and manage readiness for BAU transition. • Define user acceptance criteria and align priorities with stakeholders. People Leadership • Guide, coach, and develop team members on complex issues to foster skill growth. • Build strong relationships with stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and senior leaders. • Model excellence in communication, facilitation, and collaboration. Governance & Risk • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues. • Champion RAID management, coaching others and identifying opportunities to optimise risk and issue treatment across portfolios. Experience & Personal Attributes • 5 years’ experience as a Technical Business Analyst covering both business and technical requirements. • Solid understanding of project management fundamentals and the Analyst’s role within them. • Proficient with project management and scheduling software. • Experienced in producing executive-ready reports and visual presentations. • Strong user of Microsoft Office, ServiceNow, Jira, and SharePoint. • Qualified in Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies. • Experience working with multiple business and technical teams. • Adaptable, self-driven, and effective under pressure and ambiguity. • Skilled presenter and communicator with experience educating teams on new processes. • Strong documentation and analytical skills, including process mapping and analysis. • Experience with Insurance Claims for Super Funds is highly desirable. • Capable of reprioritising and adapting to changing environments. • Testing experience highly regarded.
