Senior Stockperson (Piggery) Yornaning Grazing Location: 6007 Great Southern Highway, Yornaning, Western Australia Salary: $76,515 per annum Hours: Full-time, 38 hours per week About the Role Our client, Yornaning Grazing , is seeking an experienced Senior Stockperson (Piggery) to join their team at their farm located along the Great Southern Highway in Yornaning, WA. The successful applicant will be responsible for supervising and performing skilled tasks in the daily management and care of pigs, ensuring high standards of animal welfare, production efficiency, and farm hygiene are maintained. Key Duties and Responsibilities Supervise and carry out daily piggery operations including breeding, farrowing, feeding, weaning, and general herd management. Monitor the health, nutrition, and welfare of pigs, identifying and treating health issues promptly. Implement and maintain biosecurity, hygiene, and safety procedures across the piggery. Maintain accurate records of breeding, feeding, health treatments, and production performance. Supervise and train junior staff to ensure efficient and safe farm operations. Operate and maintain piggery equipment, machinery, and infrastructure. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety, environmental, and animal welfare standards. Skills and Experience Required Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience in a commercial piggery or intensive livestock environment. Bachelor of Agriculture (Animal Science) or equivalent qualification, or relevant practical experience. Proven knowledge of pig health, breeding, and welfare management. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to supervise and train others. Competence in record-keeping and monitoring production data. Physically fit, reliable, and able to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays when required. Additional Information This is a full-time based in Yornaning, Western Australia.
