Full Time fixed term opportunity until 31 December 2026 for a Research Fellow at the Nepean Clinical School Conducting research across nutrition, microbiome and immunology Base Salary $127,436 17% superannuation About the opportunity This role contributes to cutting-edge research in immunology, microbiome and nutritional analysis, and bioinformatics. It sits within a multidisciplinary team at the Nepean Clinical School, focused on advancing translational research that impacts clinical practice and community health. The successful candidate will work closely with senior academics, research collaborators, and postgraduate students. Your key responsibilities will be to: conduct original research across nutrition, microbiome and immunology perform high-end flow cytometry and single cell/bulk RNA seq analysis undertake complex analysis using both local and global datasets. applying nutritional geometry analysis apply advanced bioinformatics modelling techniques publish in peer-reviewed journals and present at conferences contribute to competitive research grant applications. Your key responsibilities will be to: PhD or doctorate in immunology experience in murine and human immunology relating to allergy, autoimmunity and fetal immune development technical expertise in flow cytometry, single-cell analysis, microbiome analysis, and large-scale bioinformatics proven track record in nutritional geometry and global data bioinformatics analysis proven ability to secure research funding track record of publications and scholarly activity experience in mentoring and supervision.
