The Role: As an Environmental Management Officer you’ll join a passionate Environment Team dedicated to protecting and enhancing SMCT’s natural spaces. You’ll support the delivery of our Environmental Strategy through hands on environmental work, project coordination, data analysis and strong stakeholder engagement. Your work will help drive environmental stewardship across the organisation and contribute to meaningful sustainability outcomes. Facilitate the flow of financial insights and information to Senior Management. Key responsibilities include: Supporting the development, implementation and ongoing maintenance of SMCT’s Environmental Management System Coordinating data collection, research and environmental assessments Monitoring environmental performance and preparing reports Leading the EMS working group and promoting best practice improvements Planning and delivering environmental projects and monitoring programs Working closely with internal and external stakeholders throughout project stages Supporting culture change initiatives through Green Team activities and sustainability programs Ensuring compliance with policies, legislation and safe working procedures Your Profile: We’re looking for someone who brings technical environmental knowledge along with a collaborative mindset and strong communication skills.
