Our client, a family-owned mixed enterprise located in the Great Southern region (3.5 hours south-east of Perth) overlooking the beautiful Stirling Ranges, is looking for a permanent General Farm Hand to join their team. Good Things to Know: Large mixed cropping/sheep property (60% sheep, 40% cropping); Excellent machinery and infrastructure; MC truck licence ideal; HR minimum; Close-knit community with amenities and school bus at front gate; Accommodation suits single, couple or family; Start date ASAP, but willing to wait for the right candidate. About the Role: Sheep husbandry including lambing, marking, drenching, crutching and shearing; Operating tractors, spreaders, hay making and harvest equipment; General farm maintenance: fencing, water systems, some pellet mill work as and when required; Pre-starts and basic mechanical duties; Delivery of pellets and fertiliser collection from Albany; Record keeping; Working both independently and in a small team; Weekend work during peak periods such as seeding, harvest and shearing. About You: Minimum 3 years’ experience in mixed farming; Confident with machinery and general farm operations; Those with strong stock handling skills and less cropping experience will be considered; Basic mechanical skills; Safety-focused; HR truck licence minimum; MC an advantage; Professional presentation, reliable and motivated; Strong communication, initiative and team collaboration; Willing to grow into more responsibility and leadership. What’s on Offer: $30–$38/hour or $80,000–$90,000/year depending on experience; 45 hours/week standard; up to 50 during peak period (you will be paid for the hours you do); Work vehicle provided for work use; 3x1 recently renovated house, suitable for a family; All utilities included; Upskilling and long-term development.encouraged.
