The Role We're seeking an experienced Loader Operator to join a busy agricultural processing site in Ballarat, VIC . Working within a team that values safety, efficiency, and teamwork, you'll play a key role in managing harvested pyrethrum crop and stockfeed within the Crop Shed. This is a practical, hands-on role that requires attention to detail and safe operation of heavy machinery in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities In this role, you'll help ensure efficient crop storage and smooth site operations. Your duties include: Operating a wheeled loader to move harvested pyrethrum crop and stockfeed within the Crop Shed to maximise storage volume and maintain floor space Safely coordinating bulk deliveries in collaboration with Weighbridge Operators, following intake procedures and safety protocols Assisting with cleaning, limited repairs, and maintenance of plant and equipment as directed by your supervisor Conducting routine maintenance on the wheeled loader (e.g., checking water, oil, fuel, tyres) and advising of fuel needs or major repair requirements Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace to minimise dust exposure, fire risk, and contamination Assisting with weighbridge operation and loading of trucks as required Completing quality logbook tasks and maintaining accurate records Using and maintaining PPE appropriately, and upholding high personal hygiene standards Reporting safety observations, near misses, and incidents to your supervisor Supporting the Pellet Plant Operator and performing other tasks as assigned Benefits $38.00 per hour plus penalty rates 2-month contract offering steady 40 hours per week Opportunity to work in a dynamic agricultural environment with strong safety culture Develop your loader and machinery experience in a respected agribusiness setting Your Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you'll have: Previous experience operating a wheeled loader or similar machinery A current Car Driver's Licence Strong awareness of workplace health and safety procedures Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with supervisors and co-workers Reliability, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude towards maintenance and cleanliness Choose Agri Labour Australia Agri Labour Australia is an award-winning Australian company with clients in every State and Territory.
