Temporary Works Engineer – Civil Infrastructure Sydney, NSW | Full-Time Permanent A leading civil contractor delivering major infrastructure projects across NSW is seeking an experienced Temporary Works Engineer to join their Sydney-based team. This role offers the opportunity to work across complex and high-profile projects in the roads, bridges, tunnelling, and civil infrastructure sectors. The Opportunity You’ll take ownership of the design, coordination, and delivery of temporary works for a diverse range of projects, with a strong focus on Form, Reo, Pour (FRP) works. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who thrives on technical challenges, collaboration, and delivering safe, efficient, and constructible design solutions. Key Responsibilities Design, analyse, and review temporary works for formwork, falsework, and scaffolding on major civil infrastructure projects. Lead and manage temporary works design packages, ensuring quality, compliance, and buildability. Act as the key contact for all temporary works scope, maintaining strong communication with project teams and stakeholders. Coordinate with clients, contractors, and consultants to deliver safe, efficient, and practical solutions. Manage budgets, delivery programs, and documentation to meet project objectives. Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent). Proven experience in temporary works and FRP design within civil or structural construction. Strong understanding of formwork and scaffold systems — experience with ACROW, DOKA, ATPAC, or PERI is highly regarded. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
