Description Job Purpose DP World is seeking a Project Controls Specialist to join our Engineering team on a 24-month contract. In this role, you will coordinate and support the Project Management Team in delivering container terminal and logistics park development projects at Port Botany, as well as other container terminals across Australia. You will play a key role in tracking project progress, supporting reporting, and monitoring cost, schedule, and scope baselines. Additionally, you will assist with contract coordination, including payment approvals and change requests, and support other project execution functions such as cash forecasting, risk register management, and preparation of presentations. Key Responsibilities: Support the Project Manager with contract coordination, including payments, change requests, variations, and compliance with the Security of Payments Act. Monitor project performance against baselines, maintain documentation (WBS, OBS, risk registers), and assist with expenditure forecasting. Coordinate third-party agreements, prepare meeting minutes, and follow up on actions and escalations. Maintain accurate project records in SharePoint, including contracts, reports, and supporting documentation. Prepare and review project reports, presentations, and risk registers, and track progress of project tasks with stakeholders. Ensure compliance with DP World’s OHS&E standards by promoting safe work practices and proactive risk management. Qualifications, Skills and Experience required: Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline. 5–7 years’ experience in large-scale infrastructure or port projects, with exposure to government-funded projects, PPPs, or construction insurance desirable. Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., PMI, PMBOK 6th Edition) and experience in procurement, commercial management, budgeting, and cost control. Solid understanding of FIDIC, AS 4000, and Australian construction contract frameworks. Proven ability to manage payment applications, cash flow tracking, and support change requests, variations, and claims. Proficiency in contract management software, Microsoft Office Suite, and MS Project, with strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
