Aspirante is working with a Queensland government department to assist in their search for an experienced Test Engineer / Analyst to deliver quality assurance activities across a large-scale risk remediation program . You’ll work across multiple concurrent projects, validating complex transactional processes, ensuring data integrity, and providing assurance of solution quality. This role suits someone with a strong mix of technical and analytical skills, who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams in a regulated government environment. - Contract to June 30th with possible extension - Paying up to $965 per day - 3 days per week in Brisbane office Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases. Work closely with developers, BAs, and stakeholders to ensure quality outcomes. Participate in test planning, status meetings, and retrospectives. Perform data validation and back-end testing to ensure process accuracy. Log, track, and manage defects using Azure DevOps or similar tools. Coordinate and support UAT cycles and regression testing. Contribute to release readiness activities and quality assurance reviews. Validate spatial data, geoprocessing tools, and map services (REST/SOAP). Use tools such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcMap, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise Portal for test execution. Skills and Experience 5 years’ experience in testing within large and complex IT environments. ISTQB Foundation certification (or equivalent). Strong skills in both manual and automated testing. Background in spatial data systems or geospatial technologies (highly regarded). Experience in Azure Cloud Services , including APIM and Confluent Kafka. Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and other documentation/project tracking tools. Experience with API testing and data integrity validation. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and CI/CD environments. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
