We’re looking for experienced Mainframe COBOL Developers to join a federal government initiative kicking off in early February. You’ll be part of a collaborative scrum team, contributing to high-impact IT projects. Responsibilities: Design, code, test, document, and maintain complex COBOL programs Apply agreed standards and tools to deliver quality outcomes Collaborate with stakeholders and lead peer reviews Support documentation and knowledge transfer Participate across the full development lifecycle Requirements: Strong COBOL coding capability (Mainframe) Australian Citizenship (Baseline Clearance required) Ability to work onsite in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide, or Canberra ITIL foundational knowledge Experience working in agile/scrum environments Contract Details: Duration: 2–5 months with potential to go permanent Start: Early February 2026 (onboarding starts this year) Please click apply or contact Aimee Thompson at athompson@launchrecruitment.com.au for more information.
