Primary Objective Support the Manager Freight & Supply Chain to develop, deliver, monitor and review heavy vehicle, freight and productivity initiatives in partnership with government of all levels and industry. Research and consult to develop an evidence-base for reform that will reduce regulatory burden and improve safety and productivity, for the NHVR, the heavy vehicle industry and other road users. Your key responsibilities will include: Contribute to the development, delivery, monitoring and review of internal and external safety and productivity-related policies, strategies, plans, projects and research to deliver on the NHVR’s legislative and strategic objectives. Contribute to building, facilitating and maintaining strategic relationships between various industry bodies and other government and key stakeholders to ensure the best freight related transport policy outcomes are developed and operating effectively and efficiently. Prepare a range of complex documents including options analysis, business cases, technical reports, business processes and other sensitive correspondence. Undertake evidence-based research and analysis that will inform policy and technical advice and decision making. Adhere to all NHVR policies and procedures to ensure compliance with NHVR internal processes.
