Description About the role We’re looking for a Senior Business Analyst to join our IT team and play a key role in shaping, delivering, and supporting high-quality business and technical solutions. In this role, you’ll collaborate with IT managers, business unit leaders, cross-functional teams, and senior leadership to ensure business and system requirements for small works and production changes are clearly documented, agreed, and delivered across all stages of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). 12 months Fixed term contract role | Perth based In this role you will be accountable to: Partner with managers, developers, vendors, and infrastructure teams to deliver high-quality technical solutions. Lead workshops and stakeholder discussions to define, validate, and document business and technical requirements. Analyse business processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Prepare Statements of Work, high-level estimates, and test plans to support senior leadership and client approvals. Understand the customer experience, how they may use the product/service and how that will influence both the business and technical requirements. Liaise with developers/technical solutions & design to ensure that the technical solution meets the agreed business requirements. Investigate and analyse production issues, supporting ongoing system enhancements and improvements. Apply creative thinking and work collaboratively with teams to solve business challenges, further supporting the documentation of clear, concise and accurate requirements. Participate in system testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production support. Collaborate with third-party vendors to deliver integrated system solutions. Act as a mentor and coach to junior team members, sharing expertise and supporting development. Ensure all solutions comply with organisational policies, risk management, and information security standards. What You'll Bring: 5 years as a technical Senior Business Analyst with experience across business and technical requirements. Proficient in SQL and Microsoft Office suite. Well-practiced and experienced with the software development cycles Strong documentation skills, including functional and non-functional requirements, use cases, and process flows. Experience in testing, issue management, and system implementation. Contribute to estimating, planning, issue management, risk management, change management, communications and the preparation of Statements of Work Experience with Business Use Case Modelling. Comfortable working with multiple delivery teams, navigating ambiguity, and prioritising competing demands. Product knowledge in Superannuation, Insurance, Managed Funds or Registry Services is highly desirable. Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Business, or related field. You are proactive, collaborative, and thrive in dynamic environments where your analysis and technical expertise can make a real difference.
