CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER CHAMBER OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY WA (CCIWA) CCIWA is the peak organisation that drives economic growth and prosperity for the people of Western Australia by bringing together key stakeholders to deliver on strategic priorities and boost the state’s innovation, industry, investment and trade. It is committed to supporting its 7,100 members from across all regions and industries by helping them network and by providing independent services to help them prosper and meet the challenges of operating in a modern economy. CCIWA is seeking to appoint a strategic and commercially astute Chief Executive Officer. Based in Perth CBD, the CEO will ensure CCIWA is a respected, trusted, influential peak body. The role requires effective day to day engagement with the senior leaders of WA’s business community, political leaders, media and a range of third parties. The CEO is responsible for the development and execution of strategic business plans and be accountable for results. Through effective management and decision making, the CEO will question the status quo and build an organisation that has the capacity to adapt to challenges of the modern environment. Utilising a contemporary approach to advocacy, the CEO will build community trust and support through strategic coalitions, and influence policy development, taking risks to secure the economic reform that WA needs to achieve greater prosperity. The successful candidate will be a senior and experienced leader who can represent WA’s strategic interests. The CEO will: Lead the development and execution of an effective enterprise strategic plan with a clear purpose and measurable outcomes Develop a cohesive, impactful relationship with the Board, ensuring outstanding governance in line with the organisation’s registration as a public company limited by guarantee Maintain CCIWA's high profile and level of influence as the peak business organisation in WA Provide energised and optimistic leadership of the team Tertiary qualifications including postgraduate qualifications in Law, business management, international relations and trade, economics, public policy/administration or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant professional experience and training will be required.
