About the role: Reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor, this role is responsible for providing regular surveys of the mining area to support mine planning and production activity. This is an exciting time to join the company as we pave the way for future growth. This will be a permanent role on 8 days on 6 days off roster, BIBO from Perth or DIDO option available. Key responsibilities: • Ensure all survey duties are carried out to conform with the Work Health and Safety Act 2020 and the Work Health and Safety (Mines) Regulations 2022 • Perform surveys for stockpile volumes, end-of-month pickups, ore block layouts, mining as-builts, waste dump construction, and cavity monitoring, as well as producing detailed plans and maps. • Conduct timely pickups and prepare reports for all excavations • Install and maintain survey control points across pits, ramps, crests, and toes. • Produce required documentation, including digging notes, drill and development plans, and traffic/emergency maps. • Engage in project work to optimise mining efficiencies and the provision of general surveying services to the site as required. • Maintain survey accuracy and compliance through regular control checks and updates. Essential qualifications include: • Tertiary or Technical Qualification in Surveying or Spatial Information. • Experience in an open pit mining environment • Experience in mine surveying applications such as Deswik, Surpac software and Leica survey instruments along with Trimble GPS and Drones. • A Western Australian manual driver’s license • A proactive attitude, collaborative approach and commitment to safety Culture: If you are ready to step up to the challenges of this role, it can lead to greater opportunities for career growth and progression.
