Impact of This Role As Head of People and Culture and part of the leadership team, you will play a vital role in cultivating a positive, respectful, inclusive and engaging workplace culture. Reporting to the General Manager, People, Community & Culture, this role will work closely with people leaders to build capability, guide employees through change and ensure the employee experience reflects the organisation’s values. As a true HR generalist, the role will take ownership of all end-to-end HR activities, support recruitment efforts, advise managers on people matters and ensure that policies, procedures and compliance measures are embedded, maintained and strengthened. This role is a mixture of operations and strategic HR and has one direct report. This is a full-time permanent role with a hybrid working arrangement, including 3 days per week on-site at their Head Office in Melbourne or in Sydney at their Potts Point office. Key Responsibilities Act as a trusted advisor and coach to leaders, providing strategic HR support and operational guidance across the employee lifecycle Design and deliver initiatives to enhance organisational culture, foster cohesion, teamwork and a sense of fun Support ongoing HR policy and WHS reviews and updates, ensuring compliance and improving clarity and accessibility of processes Oversee the recruitment, selection and onboarding process with people managers. Coach and advise on employee relations, including performance management, grievance resolution and change management Implement and maintain HR policies, programs and systems that reflect best practice and comply with legislation and relevant FWA requirements About You An approachable, experienced and self-sufficient senior HR practitioner, comfortable balancing operational HR with strategic insight and direction. Capable of providing confidential advice to managers, resolving sensitive employee issues and managing BAU HR effectively and independently. Essential skills and experience include: Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline with proven experience as an HR Business Partner or similar strategic HR role.
