Enjoy working in a well-equipped, contemporary office in Essendon Fields Permanent, full-time role with great hours to promote work-life balance Grow your career with career advancement and development opportunities Reporting to the National Freight Hub Manager, as a Freight Allocator you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of third-party transport carriers. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as operations managers, procurement, compliance, & planning, you’ll ensure deliveries and pick-ups are execute safely, efficiently and on time. This is an exciting opportunity for a customer-centric problem solver who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and enjoys optimising freight operations. What you'll do: Coordinate freight movements across Visy locations and external customer sites. Work with fleet controllers to maximise asset utilisation and minimise downtime. Use strong analytical skills to plan, schedule and optimise resource allocation. Communicate proactively with customers and carriers, providing updates on progress or delays. Manage multiple priorities and resolve problems as they come up. Build strong relationships with carriers, customers, and internal teams to secure cost-effective transport solutions. Promote teamwork to consolidate loads and improve operational efficiency.
