We have a great opportunity for a Supply Chain Project Analyst to join our Maritime Acquisition Team supporting the Supply Chain Function on the Hunter Program. Reporting to the Supply Chain Accounting Manager, you will use your strong business acumen and previous experience working with Supply Chain, Commercial, Estimating and Pricing and providing data analysis to facilitate planning and decision-making for the project. This role can be based at either our Bourke St office in Melbourne or Osborne Shipyard Office in Adelaide. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: Providing financial support, advice, direction and decision making to support to the Supply Chain & Australian Industry Capability (AIC) teams Hold accountability for Estimate at Completion (EAC) management by proactively and effectively managing the project EAC (reviewing actuals, ETC, BoE's and variance analysis) to ensure appropriate discipline, governance, content and accuracy Provide estimating expertise and leadership to support Supply Chain cost management activities (Major Subcontracts across both Combat Systems & Platform scopes of work and Category C & D) Lead the management of maintaining basis of estimates (including uncertainty) on behalf of Supply Chain, ensuring effective stakeholder engagement Responsible for ensuring that all basis of estimates best reflect the chosen scope, is based on the best available information at the time and in accordance with company and head contract guidelines Providing financial or subject matter expertise to support contract negotiations and opportunity identification by providing strategic costing / pricing reviews, estimating, cost modelling, cost driver identification, negotiation strategy planning, formulation of cost strategy, review and analysis of all cost estimates Partner with the Project to deliver project procurement and end-to-end Supply Chain cost solutions which deliver resulting in cost reductions and demonstrated Value for Money Provide financial support to the CoA customer, including the development of and review of Supply Chain Negotiation strategies & Record of Negotiated Outcomes Preparation of monthly reports of actuals and variances against budget and previous forecast in an accurate and timely manner Preparation and review of variance reporting versus prior forecasts and budgets Oversee and review Contract Change Proposal's (CCP's) and Sub-contract Change Proposal's (SCP's) pricing and monitor and incorporate changes Input into project risk management processes including maintenance of finance related risks in the risk register Provide assistance to Finance Manager as required Compliance to Corporate guidelines, policies and procedures as well as accounting standards and legislation KEY CRITERIA: Degree qualification in Supply Chain or Business Management Strong business acumen in Supply Chain, Commercial, Estimating and Pricing and data analysis The ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and members of the broader business Well-developed self-management skills and demonstrated ability to work under own initiative to deliver outputs to time, quality and cost Excellent written and verbal communication skills High literacy and numeracy skills Previous experience in a large project environment (desirable) Advanced MS Office skills, especially in Word, Excel and PowerPoint Eligibility to obtain and maintain Negative Vetting Level 1 Defence security clearance International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role We believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
