About the Role: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join a leading organisation’s payroll team. This critical role supports the accurate and timely processing of monthly payrolls in partnership with a managed service provider. The ideal candidate will have extensive payroll operations knowledge, including a strong understanding of complex Enterprise Agreements and legislation across Australia and New Zealand, and experience with payroll system integrations. Key Responsibilities: Assist with preparation and validation of monthly payrolls alongside the managed service provider Maintain payroll records ensuring compliance with legislation and internal policies Interpret and apply complex Enterprise Agreements (including New Zealand-specific agreements) Support payroll system integration and configuration of payroll rules Respond promptly and professionally to payroll queries from employees and stakeholders Assist with audits, reconciliations, and payroll reporting Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance payroll processes and compliance Collaborate effectively with HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll alignment Required Skills and Experience: Proven payroll processing experience, ideally in a managed service environment Strong knowledge and practical application of complex Enterprise Agreements Deep understanding of Superannuation, PAYG, Payroll Tax, and Workcover legislation across Australian states and territories High numeracy skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy Strong compliance focus and ability to implement payroll best practices Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment while collaborating across teams Advanced MS Excel skills (including VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and Formulas) Experience in continuous improvement initiatives related to payroll processes Preferred Qualifications: Experience with ADP Payforce and SAP SuccessFactors Exposure to working collaboratively with managed service providers MS Excel certification or equivalent training is a plus Benefits: This role offers the opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking payroll team within a supportive, values-driven organisation committed to employee development and operational excellence.
