As you're bringing your pet into an care environment with frail and elderly residents, we ask that your pet is • Calm, patient and gentle in nature • Up-to-date with vaccinations and treatment of worms and fleas • Nails should be short and blunt. Freshly cuts nails can be sharp if not filed down. • Dogs should be kept on a lead at all times. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated. Requirements We are seeking pet visitors on a Monday or Friday afternoon for an hour between 1-4pm, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability. 18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare plus NDIS Worker Screening Check
