QTC is seeking a Principal, Client Credit to join our Risk Division and play a pivotal role in managing and enhancing our credit risk framework across client lending and investment counterparties. As a senior specialist and functional leader, you will oversee the identification, assessment, and monitoring of credit risk across QTC’s client lending portfolio. You’ll lead a high-performing team, drive strategic improvements, and ensure credit exposures are managed in line with QTC’s risk appetite and policies. Key Responsibilities Manage day-to-day credit operations, setting team priorities and ensuring consistent delivery. Contribute to divisional strategy through expert insights and leadership. Coach and develop team members to deliver high-quality credit outcomes. Oversee credit risk assessments, ratings, and recommendations for client lending. Monitor portfolio performance and identify emerging risks. Enhance credit frameworks, tools, and processes for greater efficiency and accuracy. Provide high-quality analysis to support senior management and committee decisions. Collaborate across teams to align credit practices with broader organisational goals. Represent credit risk in internal and external forums. What You’ll Bring You are a strategic thinker with deep expertise in credit and counterparty risk. Advanced credit assessment and financial analysis skills, with strong judgement and attention to detail. Deep understanding of institutional investment products, exposure controls, internal rating systems, and regulatory obligations. Analytical thinking and clear communication, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and present insights to diverse audiences. Integrity and accountability, consistently upholding professional and ethical standards. Strong relationship-building and problem-solving skills, with a collaborative mindset across teams and divisions. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Tertiary qualifications in finance, economics, commerce, or a related field. Minimum 6 years’ experience in credit and counterparty risk roles within financial institutions, government funding agencies, or similar sectors. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present to executive stakeholders.
