About NAPCo The North Australian Pastoral Company (NAPCo) was founded in 1877 and is one of Australia's leading beef cattle companies, managing over 6.1 million hectares, largest single herd in the world and home to Five Founders Beef. NAPCo employs approximately 220 staff operating across Queensland and the Northern Territory, with 15 cattle stations, a Depot in Mount Isa, a Feedlot and Farm in the Darling Downs and an office in Brisbane's CBD. About the position Reporting to the Business Analysis Manager, supporting the business with budget and forecasting, generation of analytics and reporting and broader commercial analysis to meet operational needs. The position will predominately support our Intensive Production and Sales division collating and analysing data from various sources. The position will: manage the weekly sales schedulewhich includes: Collating and reconciling cattle placement data, kill data and inventory data into sales model and undertake analysis and reporting Analyse and reconcile branded beef production and financial data and update P&L for distribution and reporting EOM report preparation – accruals & board reporting Deliver budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and analytic performance activities Undertake analytical work at the Wainui Feedlot & Farm – cattle performance data and sales data, crop planning & costing Support finance projects with business analytics as required Undertake ad hoc commercial analysis and reporting About You You will bring your love of numbers and passion for/interest in for agriculture, be organised, self-motivated and able to work independently. The successful candidate will be a natural problem solver, who is energetic and intuitive, combined with: A Commerce, Accounting or Agribusiness Degree or similar / or equivalent experience A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role Experience working in the Agriculture industry Advanced Excel & MS Office Suite, with exposure to Power Bi or TM1 desirable but not essential Experience building/writing reports using analytical tools Good communication skills with ability to build relationships High attention to detail with good business acumen Ability to work collaboratively to achieve priority outcomes A sound understanding of the pastoral industry and beef supply chain would be favourable, but not essential Position will include some ad hoc travel to NAPCo properties.
