The key duties of the position include The Role The APS 6 Workforce Planning Team Lead is a critical role within the Internal Workforce function that is responsible for managing workflow as it relates to Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment (NSSG), Australian Defence Force (ADF), Workforce planning and management. They will lead collaboration with Division/Branch level Workforce Managers as well as colleagues within NSSG Internal Workforce branch to ensure military workforce equities are represented as part of the NSSG Integrated Workforce picture. This position will provide workforce data analysis capability and enable effective information to be presented based on data that addresses ADF workforce risks and opportunities. The role requires potential to work as a core and consistent member of the small ADF workforce team inside NSSG Internal Workforce Branch. They must be able to quickly develop a comprehensive understanding of ADF workforce framework. Our Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will need to exemplify: Demonstrated ability to quickly develop a comprehensive understanding of integrated workforce frameworks (including ADF, APS, Above the Line Contractor and ADF Reserves). Demonstrated ability to work in Human Resource (HR) data systems and programs including Manpower Analysis Planning Software (MAPS), PMKeys, and Excel is desirable. Passion for solving problems using data analysis and information as a foundation for recommending solutions with strong attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels to achieve best-fit organisational solutions. Demonstrated interpersonal, written and communication skills, including relationship building, resilience and adaptability and tailoring your approach when targeting audiences. Demonstrated ability to adapt and reprioritise work in accordance with changing priorities to meet deadlines. Proven ability to link strategic workforce intent and guidance to local NSSG initiatives and action. Provide understanding and advice on specific workforce management and planning activities including workforce design, demand, supply and gap analysis, strategies and risks.
