The Payroll, Aurion and HR Help Team works closely with other areas across PM&C to deliver a high-quality payroll service, Aurion system support and helpdesk function for PM&C and MOU agencies. The Team is highly engaged, experienced and capable with a strong focus on accuracy, service delivery and accountability. What you will do As the APS5 Payroll Adviser you will work in a small payroll team responsible for the delivery of fortnightly payroll services to the Department and MOU agencies utilising the Human Resources Management Information System - Aurion. The position is responsible for the following: Undertaking more complex payroll processing as required including but not limited to non-routine superannuation and overtime matters, compensation payroll activities, graduated return to work support, fortnightly manual payroll Undertaking day to day team payroll processing activities like employee pay variations, superannuation, higher duties, employee movements, commencements and separations in periods of high demand or staff absence. Supporting SES, Secretary and Public Officer Holder payroll processing activities as required. Completing team member work allocation and checking in designated timeframes Providing payroll processing training and coaching to existing and new team members as required Handling escalations, preparing correspondence and provide accurate and timely advice to clients Preparing and checking voluntary redundancy and incentive to retire estimates and processing as required Putting forward ideas, actively participating in and taking the lead on process improvement activities where required Actively contribute to positive team relationships and providing guidance, feedback and assistance to other team members.
