About the role The Organisation Planning and Insights Analyst plays a key role in shaping how the City plans, measures, and improves its performance. This position is responsible for developing and driving the City’s corporate and service planning frameworks, organisational performance measurement and reporting processes, and continuous review programs. You will evaluate service performance and community needs through financial, operational, and benchmarking analysis to assess efficiency, effectiveness, and strategic alignment. Work type: Permanent, full-time. Classification: Band 7, $ 106158, pa plus super Key responsibilities include: Partner with teams across the organisation to lead and support the Annual Business Planning Cycle, ensuring responsibilities are clearly defined and cascaded through the Accountability Framework. Collaborate proactively with senior leaders and their teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement, embedding robust planning practices into everyday operations. Coordinate strategic discussions and planning activities with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment, informed decision-making, and effective delivery of organisational goals. Drive the end-to-end delivery of service reviews, ensuring consistency, transparency, and compliance with the Local Government Act 2020 and other regulatory standards. Evaluate service performance and community needs through financial, operational, and benchmarking analysis to assess efficiency, effectiveness, and strategic alignment. Deliver actionable, evidence-based recommendations and partner with stakeholders to embed outcomes into business planning, service planning, and budgeting processes. About you To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in Commerce or Business fields or significant professional experience in Commerce or Business fields in a comparable organisation. Essential Experience: Understanding of evaluation methodologies / frameworks. Demonstrated experience working through milestones and stage gates. Proven ability to analyse information and make judgments. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, influence, and collaborate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Adept at using digital tools and technology to deliver compelling, persuasive presentations. Thrives working autonomously under broad direction, consistently delivering outcomes aligned to strategic goals and KPIs.
