This position is responsible for assisting the Financial Operations team with a range of tasks while ensuring compliance with legislation and policies. About the role: - Perform financial operations, including reconciliations, journal preparation, and producing financial reports and statements.- Support audits by preparing workpapers and addressing financial reporting issues to ensure compliance with legislation, policies, and standards.- Provide guidance on departmental policies and practices, with strong proficiency in SAP financial systems.- Develop and manage work schedules to ensure timely delivery of key financial tasks.- Conduct financial analysis and problem-solving to support decision-making.- Collaborate within a team to collect, analyse, and report financial data for annual reporting processes.- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to share financial insights and advice.- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and deliver excellent customer service to enhance productivity and outcomes. About you: 1. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively to provide financial support, advice, and information that aligns with organisational objectives.2. Proven experience in preparing, reviewing, and submitting financial reports, reconciliations, journals, and audit workpapers. While not mandatory, qualifications in finance/accounting and/or membership of a professional accounting body recognised under section 4 of the Financial Accountability Regulation 2019, would be beneficial.3. Strong decision-making skills, with a commitment to ethical, considered, and context-aware choices, alongside accountability for delivering quality outcomes with professionalism and transparency.4.
