The Team: The Finance team is responsible for overseeing all financial functions of the agency. Financial Accounting specifically handles the maintenance of accurate financial records and the preparation of financial statements for Sports Integrity Australia, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The Role: The Finance Officer provides assistance with the day-to-day management of Sport Integrity's financial accounting function with a high degree of accuracy and within required timeframes. The key duties of the position include The duties of the Finance Officer include, but are not limited to: accurate completion of day-to-day and end-of-month processes to meet internal and external financial reporting timeframes utilising systems such as SAP FMIS, Concur and Microsoft Excel; preparation of journals; undertake key reconciliations such as payroll, balance sheet and cashflow; assisting in the preparation and lodgement of the annual Fringe Benefits Tax Return and monthly Business Activity Statement to meet taxation obligations; liaising with internal and external stakeholders including other Commonwealth agencies including the Department of Finance, regarding issues arising from day-to-day finance operations; assisting with the preparation of the annual financial statements; assisting with the preparation of responses to Questions on Notice (QoNs) and other regular and ad-hoc external reporting requirements; assist with responding to internal and external audits and maintaining appropriate risk management relevant to finance operations; identify and interpret relevant legislation, work practices, procedures and policies and apply these to the work area; work collaboratively and operate as an effective team member and provide constructive feedback; and assist the wider Finance team including management accounting and budgets as required.
