Job Description Position Title: EL1 Global Remuneration Analyst Employment Type: Approx 12-month contract (with possible extension) Location: Canberra, ACT Hourly Pay Rate: $78.95 - $88.31 12% superannuation Security Clearance/Requirements: NV1 clearance Working Arrangements: Onsite, with some flexibility ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking an experienced Global Remuneration Analyst (EL1 level) to join a Federal Government department on a long-term contract. This role is highly specialised and requires advanced skills in HR, accounting, Excel (including PowerQuery), and analysis of remuneration and economic data. The successful candidate will contribute to the department’s remuneration strategy across 100 overseas missions, ensuring decisions are evidence-based, defensible, and strategically aligned. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Conduct annual reviews of remuneration and benefits for overseas missions. Apply actuarial data and market intelligence to determine adjustments. Maintain and enhance remuneration analysis models, ensuring accuracy and scalability. Lead procurement and integration of market data from external suppliers. Manage data surveys, ensuring accuracy and timely returns from global missions. Document assumptions, methodologies, and provide audit-ready records. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external providers to support effective remuneration outcomes. Provide high-level strategic advice and contribute to quality assurance and risk management. SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Strong technical expertise in HR, accounting, or finance. Advanced Excel skills, including PowerQuery . Proven ability to analyse and interpret remuneration and economic data. Experience maintaining large-scale data models and survey processes. Strong written communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to provide strategic advice in complex or sensitive environments. ELIGIBILITY Must be an Australian citizen. Must hold an NV1 clearance.
