As Director, Strategic Project and Oversight Liaison, you will specifically:  Lead the development of briefs, correspondence, submissions and project documentation in relation to complex youth detention issues.  Develop and advise on youth detention strategic project priorities and contribute to setting the reform agenda for YDOR.  Lead, coordinate, plan, implement and monitor progress of projects within tight timeframes to achieve desired outcomes. Establish strong governance in support of project deliverables and outcomes.  Lead and manage the provision of expert advice and analysis in response to requests from oversight and advocacy functions, reviews, reports and recommendations, ensuring compliance with any statutory timeframes.  Build strong sector partnerships to support the YDOR reform agenda and the effective and efficient operation of oversight functions.  Develop advice on evidence and trends in relation to youth detention service delivery at state, national and international levels. Leverage these insights into projects, reform priorities and oversight responses as relevant.  Effectively manage budgetary, strategic and operational performance and resources.  Represent the department at a senior level as required, including at interdepartmental and intergovernmental meetings and associated committees.  Promote an accountable, fair and safe work environment through the implementation of management practices, policies and procedures, including workplace, health and safety, equal employment opportunity, anti-discrimination and performance management.  Demonstrate cultural capability and/or a commitment to developing cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with the Human Rights Act 2019 and supports departmental programs and community partnerships aimed at preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
