Role fit : The essential requirements for this role are:  Demonstrated high level ability to respond to policy challenges at an executive level, including the ability to provide strategic leadership and expert advice on a range of policy issues as relevant to the priorities established under the strategic and operational plans of the Division.  Demonstrated ability to provide effective leadership at a senior level within a large service delivery organisation involving multi-disciplinary programs and diverse work units.  Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary project teams for high performance in line with quality human and financial resource management practices.  Demonstrated research, analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills including the proven capacity to initiate appropriate strategic and operational responses and corrective and preventative solutions to key issues affecting policies and project/s.  Demonstrated expertise in the provision of authoritative advice and support to executive and senior management.  Demonstrated high level communication, negotiation, liaison and tactical skills with a record of success in working across government (including Commonwealth Government), private and non-government sectors with proven ability to develop and manage collaborative working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders in an environment of competing needs and changing priorities.  Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including demonstrated ability to negotiate and communicate with influence to ensure submissions, briefings and reports reflect a division-wide position, considering the Queensland Health and government strategic agenda.  Proven record of high-level resource (human, financial and physical) management, effective budget management skills and ability to provide strategic leadership and direction to a team.
