About your role As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you'll provide expert clinical consultancy and leadership in the field of Deafness and Mental Health. Key responsibilities include:  Deliver advanced person-centred nursing care for individuals with complex needs in deafness and mental health.  Provide clinical leadership, guidance, and consultation to staff across Queensland Health and external partners.  Support workforce education and training to enhance clinical practice in deafness and mental health care.  Lead quality and service improvement initiatives that advance best practice standards.  Contribute to research and resource development to improve outcomes and expand the evidence base.  Model clinical excellence, integrity, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary environment. About you You are a compassionate and experienced nurse leader with advanced clinical expertise in mental health nursing and a passion for improving care for people who are deaf or hard of hearing. You thrive in collaborative environments, demonstrate critical thinking, and inspire others through education, innovation, and evidence-based practice. You'll bring:  Advanced clinical knowledge and skills in mental health nursing, with experience supporting individuals with hearing impairment (desirable).  Demonstrated leadership in clinical governance, education, and quality improvement.  Strong communication and negotiation skills to collaborate across diverse teams.  A commitment to continuous learning, research, and workforce development.  Relevant postgraduate qualifications (or working towards them) are highly regarded.
