Due to growth, we're seeking a Mining Operations Supervisor to join the team. Within this role, you will supervise, lead, mentor, and manage the technicians for the Mining Division ensuring business goal, service delivery, safety and compliance requirements and objectives are achieved. The role: Manage WIP (Work in Progress) to ensure forward planning of work, including allocating jobs, manpower, material, and plant requirements, ensuring all are available when required to minimise nonproductive labour and material excess. Manage department budgets including forecasting and cost management. Responsible for the day-to-day management of employee performances, annual performance reviews, recruitment and training needs. Ensure timely submission of invoicing for all jobs. Maintain regular communication with clients/suppliers to ensure we are meeting expectations. Attend regular client meetings as required to maximise customer retention. Participate in identifying new business opportunities, including sourcing prospective clients and pursing repeat business with existing clientele. Participate in quote/tender reviews, interviews or walk around (as required) to determine capability and pricing levels. Ensure accuracy of service reporting and audit reports. Manage Health, Safety and Environment requirements for your division including incident reporting/investigation, conduct safety audits, undertake toolbox talks, manage training requirements and adherence to policy and procedure. What we're looking for: Electrical Trade or Certificate 2 in Inspection and Testing of Fire Protection Systems, Sprinkler Fitter, Fire Alarm preferred. Ability to supervise and manage teams in a service related industry. Experience working within or servicing the mining sector. Customer focused and strategic thinking Desire to learn with high level of attention to detail. Strong leadership and team management abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proven problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
