Blake Oliver Consulting has been engaged to appoint a Business Development Executive into the Australian business of a globally recognised consulting and technology firm. This is a hunter role focused on new client acquisition and revenue growth across the mining and natural resources sector in Western Australia. You’ll be responsible for driving pipeline development, securing new logos, and shaping strategic deals, leveraging the firm’s global service lines and strong local presence to deliver technology-led transformation. What You’ll Do Develop and execute a hunting strategy to grow the firm’s presence across WA’s mining and natural resources sector. Originate, qualify, and structure new opportunities by engaging directly with client executives, business leaders, and operations teams. Lead client pursuits, workshops, presentations, and negotiations to drive deal closure. Collaborate with service line leaders, pre-sales, and delivery teams to create differentiated solutions in areas such as digital transformation, automation, cloud, and operational technology. Build and maintain trusted executive relationships, positioning the firm as a strategic partner for technology-enabled growth. Represent the firm at industry forums, roundtables, and networking events, strengthening visibility in the WA market. What We’re Looking For Proven track record in business development, client acquisition, or sales within IT consulting, professional services, or technology. Strong understanding of the WA mining and natural resources sector, with networks across major operators and industry partners. Demonstrated success in originating and closing new business opportunities. Commercial acumen with experience in deal structuring and negotiation. A proactive, outcome-driven mindset with the ability to navigate complex client organisations.
