Position Title: Allied Health Assistant Classification: IN29 Salary per hour: $31.65 superannuation generous salary packaging options Employment Type: Ongoing Full-time Award: Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025 Role description The Allied Health Assistant (AHA) work across all areas of the Continuing Care Directorate including inpatient rehabilitation, the transition care program, residential aged care and specialist outpatient and community-based rehabilitation program to support delivery of high-quality allied health and community nursing care. There is the opportunity for the AHA workforce to rotate regularly to support skills development and expansion across program areas. The AHA will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver therapies prescribed by the relevant Allied Health Professional (AHP), other therapeutic activities, and recreationally focused programs as required. This role is primarily based at the Dhelkaya Health Castlemaine site, but the AHA may be required to work at other organisational sites, community-based facilities, or in clients' homes as directed. Other work areas may be delegated to the AHA as required to support service delivery and management of both planned and unplanned leave for the AHA and AHP workforces. About you Must meet both of the following qualification requirements: Holds an Allied Health Assistant Qualification (which may include: Certificate III in Allied Health Assistance, Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance, or equivalent qualification from a Registered Training Organisation).
