About the role This involves steering the strategic direction and overseeing professional governance activities in collaboration with service-line Occupational Therapy Professional Leads. The role is dedicated to driving the development and implementation of innovative, efficient, and effective models of Occupational Therapy, service delivery through strategic partnerships, research collaborations, and modern approaches to clinical service design. This role is part of the Senior Leadership Team of MNMH - Redcliffe Caboolture (MNMH-RC), contributing to service delivery improvements and supporting the recruitment, retention and performance of the local allied health workforce. As part of both the MNMH Allied Health Leadership Team and MNMH-RC Senior Leadership Team, this role works collaboratively to ensure high quality multidisciplinary responses to complex clinical situations and system pressures. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: Professionally lead and direct the delivery of contemporary, innovative and evidence-based Occupational Therapy models of service delivery that are effective and efficient within a complex public health care setting. Lead a MNMH clinical portfolio of expertise focused within inpatient and/or community settings. Distribute learnings at a directorate, HHS and state-wide level. Oversee workforce development activities to foster development and maintenance of specialised knowledge and skill within the Occupational Therapy Apply clinical expertise to high-profile consumers through specialised assessments, interventions, and second opinions, while maintaining expert-level skills, supporting multidisciplinary complex care reviews, and contributing to patient flow initiatives that enhance experiences and outcomes for consumers, carers, and staff.
