The Role Our client is seeking an experienced Ansible Automation Engineer to design, manage, and optimize their enterprise automation platform. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, ensuring robust architecture, and embedding automation across complex environments. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain the Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) roadmap , aligning with organizational objectives and stakeholder needs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize features and deliver maximum platform value. Design and maintain secure, scalable, and reliable architecture for AAP components. Monitor and administer AAP environments , applying automation-first principles to streamline operations. Maintain dynamic inventories across Azure, AWS, and vCenter environments for accurate resource management. Codify operational tasks into reusable automation artifacts , promoting Infrastructure-as-Code and GitOps practices. Integrate CI/CD pipelines for automation content delivery, ensuring rapid and reliable deployments. Perform proactive maintenance and upgrades , including OS patching and AAP component updates. Drive continuous improvement through automated health checks, self-healing mechanisms, and compliance enforcement via policy-as-code. Provide regular reporting on platform health, performance metrics, and capacity utilization. Skills & Experience Expert knowledge of Ansible Automation Platform and related components. Strong background in Linux administration and enterprise-level IT infrastructure. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines , GitOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices. Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and virtualization technologies (vCenter). Solid understanding of agile methodologies and “as-code” operational approaches.
