Collaborating closely with the Assistant Principal Evangelisation & Catechesis, the Leader of Learning: Religious Education, and other school staff, this key role implements meaningful opportunities for students, staff, and families to encounter and deepen their faith in Christ. We are seeking a passionate & faith-filled individual who will be part of the leadership team & have the ability to teach Religious Education for 0.4 FTE, with the remaining 0.6 FTE working in the Leader of Evangelisation capacity. Remuneration: Salary super CO2 Allowance The successful candidate will be responsible for: Lead in the development and enablement of opportunities in each of the focus areas of Evangelisation, Discipleship and Service to others Lead in the development and enablement of opportunities for students, staff and families to encounter and come to know Christ along the family faith journey through the three focus areas, including connections with Stage 3 in CSBB primary schools Foster a culture of commitment to faith by encouraging and enabling young people to undertake service roles in the Church, contribute to liturgical celebrations and participate in Parish, Diocesan, National and International youth events Assist the AP E&C in preparing and organising liturgical celebrations and student and staff spirituality days Strengthen opportunities for connection between the College and the Parish to support the Baptism to post-School vision and to build community with the Church by animating the Shared Mission Principles Develop and support Christ-centred service programs and initiatives that uphold the dignity of every person and promote social justice within the College and wider community Build the capability of students to participate and lead in peer-to-peer ministry teams (e.g. student leaders) Lead collaboratively with staff to support the development of initiatives and events across all focus areas that demonstrate commitment to active staff and student formation and ministry including within the RE Curriculum Use data to quantify measurable improvement and engagement across all focus areas Support the leadership team in cultivating the improvement of staff supporting ministry work through the CSBB Capabilities Framework Selection Criteria Strong commitment to the Catholic ethos and our Vision of Authentic professional Catholic education delivered with care and compassion Ability to teach Studies of Religion and Religious Education (RE Accredited) Highly effective, skilled classroom practitioner as defined by the Professional Standards for Teachers Knowledge and skills required in the effective delivery of Curriculum, Assessment and Pedagogy A deep commitment to safeguarding as everyone's responsibility and prioritising child safety Adherence to our CSBB Capability Framework Commitment to be an active member of the Catholic school community Hold a valid Working With Children Check Must be a 4-year trained teacher How do I apply? The College was established by the Good Samaritan Sisters in 1962 initially as a girls’ school. From 1962 until 1990, twenty-five Good Samaritan Sisters served at the College. In 1979 the College became co-educational and in 1980 the Sisters donated the land of the College in perpetuity. Responsibility for the College was later handed to the Catholic Diocese of Broken Bay.
