We are seeking an Engineering Technical Officer (Design) to join our dedicated team. This position plays a vital role in delivering civil design solutions which support our Capital Works Program and enhance our community infrastructure. Location: City of Melville Civic Centre Salary: Level 6 $93,877 to $100,783 pro-rata p.a. 12% Super Employment Type: Permanent, Full Time What You’ll Be Doing Design, estimate, and prepare specifications for civil components of the Capital Works Program, including roadworks, drainage systems and traffic management initiatives. Oversee engineering projects from start to finish while providing expert advice and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders Engaging with the community through consultations, building partnerships, and driving continuous improvement in systems and processes to align with the City’s strategic goals. Preparing and monitoring of budget for the Civil Design Service Area. What We’re Looking For To be successful in this role, you will: Have a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (Diploma) or equivalent Be proficient use of AutoCAD and Civil 3D for design and drafting Have sound knowledge of road and traffic engineering principles, Austroads design guide publications and Main Roads WA standards Be proficient use of Microsoft office suite including Word and Excel Have a current ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence Possess a Western Australian White Card How to Apply Apply online via the Apply button and provide a comprehensive resume and cover letter (no more than 2 pages) demonstrating fulfilment of essential requirements outlined in the Position Description attached.
