The purpose of this position is to lead and effectively manage Engineering and Building Services team at the Redcliffe Hospital and associated sites ensuring high standards of safety to staff, clients and visitors through compliance with relevant national, state and local government legislation, standards & policies. About the role To actively support the Director Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services (BEMS) to promote standardisation of best practice, efficiency and reduced duplication across the facility in the provision of engineering, building and maintenance services. Work proactively with senior staff within Strategy, Planning, Assets and Infrastructure (SPAI) including BEMS Managers, Asset Management, Property Services, Infrastructure Planning and Capital Projects, and other groups as required, to ensure Metro North Health (MNH) is addressing maintenance, renewal and investment consistent with service strategy. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values: Contribute to a leadership and management framework within BEMS that fosters and promotes the principles of quality Engineering and Building Services, leading and representing the engineering, building and maintenance services stream working across MNH. Contribute to the strategic approaches of MNH to develop and implement new initiatives that enhance site-wide engineering services, building and maintenance services and ensure compliance with mandatory requirements and ACHS Accreditation Standards. Lead building, engineering and maintenance services to increased capability and capacity in line with ISO 55001 across MNH. Manage and identify variances in the budget performance. Identifying budget and performance issues relating to Building Engineering and Maintenance Services.
