Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the production and engineering teams during the implementation of our new facility. Based at Salisbury South, with occasional travel to Parkside and Mile End, this 12-month contract offers flexibility in capacity (0.8 or full time) and provides a unique opportunity to be involved in a range of projects, maintenance work, and continuous improvement activities that keep our operations running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for a variety of maintenance and repair tasks from coordinating small projects to working alongside contractors and ensuring our work environment meets the highest safety and food quality standards. Key Responsibilities Complete general maintenance and repair tasks across our manufacturing sites. Develop and maintain a worklist for small to medium tasks ensuring progress is tracked and communicated. Support project implementation activities as required. Coordinate and supervise external contractors, including inductions where required. Model and promote strong safety behaviours, including the use of Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO). Promote a strong safety culture by actively following and supporting all Work Health and Safety procedures. Maintain food safety standards, keeping work areas clean and safe at all times. Complete administrative and change control documentation accurately. What You’ll Bring Experience in a similar role (minimum 2 years). Solid knowledge of tools, equipment and materials common to maintenance environments. Strong problem-solving skills with good attention to detail. Friendly and approachable, with a customer-focused attitude. Strong organisational and time management skills. Understanding of workplace safety and compliance requirements. Experience in a food manufacturing environment. Forklift licence and/ or a scissor lift licence will be highly regarded.
