The Client Softwire Systems Pty Ltd is an Australian engineering company specialising in systems integration for advanced automation, test systems, vision, and manufacturing. They are now seeking to employ a qualified and experienced Electronics Engineer (Systems Integrator) to join the team. The Role You'll design, develop, test and maintain electronic test systems and automated solutions for highly regulated industries including semiconductor, biomedical and defence. This is a full-time role with an annual salary set between $85,000 to $95,000 plus superannuation. The role will be based in Adelaide in SA. The Responsibilities Develop apparatus, fixtures and procedures to validate electronic components, circuits and complete systems Execute V&V with traceable results. Design software (including embedded) that runs on and alongside electronics; integrate with LabVIEW/TestStand for automation. Establish and monitor performance, safety and maintenance standards; document operation, modification and repair procedures. Triage, diagnose and resolve hardware/software issues, implement fixes Train users, and document outcomes within agreed SLAs. Design and integrate vision and sensor-based systems for inspection, measurement, and robotic guidance. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to deliver turnkey integrated systems. Conduct performance testing, calibration, and troubleshooting of electronic components and automation hardware Implement and verify control algorithms, signal conditioning, and data logging for high-reliability systems. Develop and maintain technical documentation including system architecture, schematics, and test procedures. Support continuous improvement through fault analysis, root cause investigation, and hardware optimization The Requirements Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Software or Mechatronics) or higher. TestStand proficiency At least 2 years' relevant experience gained in a professional setting At least 2 years' hands-on LabVIEW development experience At least 2 years' experience with Lab Test instruments like Spectrum Analysers, VNA's, Digital and Analog DAQ devices and Network Analysers, Oscilloscopes. At least 2 years' experience in system FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), SAT (Site Acceptance Testing), and commissioning at client sites At least 2 years' experience designing electronic control systems for advanced manufacturing and defence applications At least 2 years' experience with instrumentation, data acquisition, and control system design for automated test and manufacturing systems. Willingness to travel as required Proven customer support experience (remote and on-site), excellent written/verbal comms, strong problem solving, self-management, and teamwork. Independent worker, self starter who can easily learn new tasks. Strong communication and organisational skills Possess critical and analytical thinking skills
