About the role An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Nurse Consultant – Stomal Therap y to join Mater Health at Mater Public Hospital in a permanent, full-time position. In this vital leadership role, you’ll provide expert clinical care, education, and support to patients with stomas and complex wounds, while guiding and mentoring staff across Mater’s multidisciplinary team. Salary range: $66.86 - $72.59 per hour plus superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 access to many staff benefits! What you’ll be doing As the Clinical Nurse Consultant – Stomal Therapy, you will: Provide advanced clinical assessment, management and education for patients requiring stoma and complex wound care. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate and evaluate patient-centred care and optimise outcomes. Deliver clinical leadership, mentorship, and education to nursing and allied health staff. Lead service improvement initiatives and contribute to innovative models of care across Mater Health. Promote evidence-based practice and contribute to research, quality improvement and policy development within your specialty. About you You’re an experienced and compassionate clinical leader with specialist skills in stomal therapy and wound management, committed to improving patient outcomes and supporting the professional development of others. You will bring: Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia. Minimum five years’ experience in a specialty nursing role, including stomal therapy or wound care. Demonstrated ability to provide advanced clinical leadership and mentoring within a multidisciplinary team. Strong communication, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice. (Desirable) Postgraduate qualification in Stomal Therapy or related specialty. Why join us?
