You’ll be at the heart of how we manage risk across our Business Lending Value Chain, bringing clarity, structure and confidence to the way we work. As the Manager for BCM Business Lending, you’ll partner with senior leaders and specialist teams to uplift our risk culture, strengthen our control environment, and ensure we’re always ready for what’s next. This role is all about making risk management real by supporting deep dives, thematic reviews, incident monitoring, and helping our teams navigate regulatory and compliance requirements with ease. You’ll be a trusted advisor, a sharp thinker, and a steady hand when things get complex, provide specialist risk support, guidance and expertise to the Business Lending Line of Business (LoB) team to ensure the control environment, monitoring frameworks, people, systems and processes are aligned to our 1LOD target state. It’s a full-time role based in Sydney, working standard business hours with flexibility built in. You’ll report to the Executive Manager, Business Lending BCM, and work closely with the Managing Director and Leadership Team to shape how we manage non-financial risk across the board. What do I need? We’re looking for someone who’s confident in the risk space, curious about how things work, and committed to making them better. You’ll thrive here if you’re proactive, collaborative, and ready to roll up your sleeves. Here’s what will help you succeed: Strong experience in risk management, compliance, or business continuity, ideally in financial services or a similarly complex environment. A solid understanding of operational risk frameworks, regulatory obligations, control assessment processes, product risk management and processes. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound judgments under pressure. A knack for translating complex risk concepts into practical advice that teams can act on. Great communication and stakeholder engagement skills, knowing how to build trust and influence outcomes. Business Lending knowledge preferred but not essential. Why join us?
