This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Clinician to lead a team in a new and innovative field, working alongside NSW Police and NSW Ambulance. What You'll Be Doing The PACER Coordinator is based out of Police stations at Campbelltown and Bankstown and the Ambulance superstation at Liverpool in SWSLHD. They provide a highly mobile, recovery orientated clinical advice, consultancy and support to NSW Police and NSW Ambulance managing mental health related cases in the community. The PACER Coordinator is a response requested by an operational Police unit or NSW Paramedics & provides mental health intervention & undertakes triage, primary client assessment & management of complex mental health emergencies & crises at an advanced level. The position requires extensive knowledge of mental health disorders & demonstrated clinical practices to provide support, treatment, coordination & education to emergency services who work with consumers with complex mental & physical health needs. The successful applicant will be required to work a rotating roster including evenings and weekends. Where You'll Be Working SWSLHD Community Mental Health Services provide comprehensive, community-based mental health care across South Western Sydney. These services cater to different age groups, including children, adolescents, adults, and older persons, ensuring specialised care throughout various life stages. The multidisciplinary teams offer a range of supports, including mental health assessments, crisis intervention, care coordination, and therapy. They work closely with inpatient services, GPs, and other community organisations to provide holistic care.
