Reporting directly to the Group General Counsel, the Legal Counsel – Commercial, Digital & Technology will be pivotal in supporting St Vincent's future by providing specialist legal advice focused on commercial, digital, and technology matters. This exciting role requires you to lead contract negotiations for major IT/technology agreements (like SaaS, cloud services, and cybersecurity), as well as general commercial and services contracts for health and aged care. You will be a key legal partner for large-scale digital transformation programs and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) implementations. You will provide expert legal counsel on issues of privacy, data governance, cybersecurity, AI, and digital health regulation. Your goal is to deliver practical, solutions-focused legal advice to executive leadership and a variety of divisional teams, successfully balancing compliance with business delivery needs. You will also assist with risk management, corporate governance, and legislative compliance, and cultivate internal legal excellence by developing precedents, processes, and managing external counsel. This is an exciting permanent full-time opportunity based in our Group Head Office in Sydney on a hybrid working arrangement.
