We currently have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Corporate Services team as a Finance Partner – Community Development. In this role, you will play a key part in providing strategic financial support to drive operational efficiency and maintain low rates for the community. You will deliver robust budgets, transparent reporting, and strong financial insights to support responsible decision-making and trusted service delivery. Key responsibilities of the position include: Provide subject matter expertise in budgeting, forecasting, long-term financial planning, costing and management accounting Coordinate all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting and reporting activities for the Community Development Directorate. Deliver expert financial advice, insights and dashboards to support strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. Prepare and review budgets, forecasts and grant acquittals, ensuring accuracy, compliance and alignment with strategic priorities. Drive continuous improvement through system and process enhancements, supporting sound financial management and reporting. The successful applicant will have: Tertiary qualification in accounting or commerce (or equivalent) is essential. Post-graduate professional qualifications (i.e. CA/CPA). Demonstrated experience in providing expert recommendations and commercially sound advice to senior and operational management. Experience solving complex problems through analysis and critical thinking, drawing insights from a range of qualitative and quantitative sources. Demonstrated experience influencing, negotiating, and engaging positively with a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve improved outcomes. Strong technical understanding of Australian Accounting Standards. Significant exposure to strategic management accounting and/or business partnering functions in a large, complex, and diverse organisation.
