Business Operations Manager (Contract) Sydney | Hybrid | Immediate StartContract Duration: ASAP – 30 June 2026Location: Sydney, NSW (Hybrid: 2 days onsite/week, including 1 day at Sydney Data Centre)Schedule: Full-time preferred (open to part-time, min. 4 days/week)Potential for Extension: Yes About the RoleOur global technology client's Business Operations team is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Business Operations Manager to support procurement, reporting, and financial quality assurance for our APAC data centre operations. This is a key administrative role, ideal for someone with strong business operations, procurement, or finance administration experience. Key ResponsibilitiesPurchase Order (PO) Management: Create/manage POs, track lifecycle, ensure timely approvals and processing.Reporting Support: Compile/format reports, maintain dashboards and operational trackers.Invoice Quality Checks: Review/validate supplier invoices, flag discrepancies, coordinate resolutions.Data Tracking & Documentation: Maintain logs, records, and ensure audit-ready documentation.Tool Proficiency: Use Excel (pivot tables, formulas, charts) and Word (templates, formatting) for analysis and communication. What You’ll DoManage high-value purchase orders and ensure compliance with financial controls.Guide suppliers through onboarding and invoice submission.Monitor invoice submissions and coordinate with accounts payable for timely payments.Communicate with internal teams, suppliers, and business units to resolve issues.Work remotely most days, with 1–2 days in the Sydney office and 1 day/week at the Sydney Data Centre.Identify process improvements and solve operational challenges.Ensure compliance with large financial transactions and supplier contracts.Support onboarding of new team members and collaborate across APAC. About YouExperience: Strong background in business operations, procurement, or finance administration.Experience with PO systems and invoice processing tools.Skills:Advanced Excel and Word skills.Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.Effective communicator, able to work independently and collaboratively.Comfortable managing large budgets and complex processes.Adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn data centre operations.Location: Based in Sydney, able to work hybrid (onsite and remote).
